CAMPS
At this stage, CAMPS is focused on being an open-ended, tactical sandbox, giving players and teams the tools to experiment with various strategies, mechanics, and gameplay elements. From custom combat scenarios to destructible environments and an evolving arsenal.
While the sandbox is the core of CAMPS during its alpha phase, we're already working on a unique and robust game mode that will take the experience to the next level. This mode will offer deeper gameplay, tighter objectives, and new challenges for players looking for more structured experiences.
THE PATH
This project isn't a war simulator and doesn't depict real-life events or conflicts.
The main aim is to create a comprehensive tactical playground for single players and teams, where the best solutions and practices can be expanded while those that are less effective are revised.
MULTIPLAYER
Currently, the game supports up to 20 players per server, with team-based gameplay in 10 vs 10 matches or free for all modes. The future plans include expanding the number of concurrent players to 50 per server as network and in-game optimizations allow.
GAME MECHANICS
As a sandbox, CAMPS provides a field for various experiments, allowing the combination of all types of game mechanics from fighting to flying jetpacks. Therefore, the aim to engage with community to keep track of their needs and wishes and deliver the best possible gameplay experiences.
INJURY SYSTEM
The injury system extends beyond just characters—it affects vehicles too. Characters can suffer everything from bleeding wounds to explosive contusions, while vehicles experience engine failures, fuel leaks, and more.
DESTRUCTIBLE ENVIRONMENT
Terraform the battlefield with dynamic destruction—trees, buildings, and objects react to your actions. While still in its early stages, the destruction system already brings exciting possibilities, and future updates will expand the number of destructible elements.
The game also provides ballistics, ricochets and various types of surface penetrations.
ARSENAL
The game's current state offers a wide array of arsenal abilities, ranging from ground traps to artillery. The plan is to continuously expand the weapons arsenal, providing items to suit every player's taste.
